Transportation near the University of Washington in Seattle, WA

Seattle has a large variety of transportation providers available, and at first glance, getting around the city may appear to be a complicated process. With a little information, however, it is not as difficult as it may first appear.

The Seattle Center Monorail provides transportation from Downtown Seattle to Seattle Center. The one mile route runs from the Seattle Center Station to and from Westlake Center Mall.

The King County Metro Transit system offers bus service to 9,000 bus stops around the county. Buses are equipped with bike racks for those who need them. Lifts and ramps are also available on buses for those who are unable to climb the steps, and for passengers who are using wheelchairs or scooters.

Use Shuttle Express when you need transportation to or from the airport or sea cruise terminals.
Shuttle Express is also available to do tours of downtown Seattle, and other area locations. You can choose from luxury coaches which accommodate six passengers, or larger coaches that will transport up to 36 guests. For smaller groups, choose a standard van or town car. Some meals and snacks are provided.

Central Link Trains provide transportation from the airport into downtown Seattle.

The King County Water Taxi provides transportation between Downtown Seattle and West Seattle aboard a 77 foot catamaran, the Rachel Marie. The trip between the two locations takes approximately ten minutes. The second catamaran, the Melissa Ann, takes about 22 minutes to cross between Downtown Seattle and Vashon Island.
